Kourtney Kardashian Preggo Again!

It's true! Kourtney and Scott are expecting baby number 2! She's about nine weeks pregnant and says "You're supposed to wait 12 weeks to tell people, but I feel confident."

There was an episode of the more recent Keeping Up With The Kardashians where her and Scott talked about expanding their family, and they both seemed down for the challenge- and why wouldn't they?! They have both adapted well to the role of being awesome parents! While mommy Kris Jenner was a little upset because they were talking about having another baby instead of marriage- I'm all for it! Kids don't equal marriage- love does! I'm sure they love each other 100% but that's a huge step that shouldn't be taken lightly (as in that other sister's case- but I won't get started on that!) and I'm certain that its coming when they're ready!

She was SO fab pregnant! I know she can't wait to do this all over again!

UGG-der the Christmas Tree

I recently went to a fashion event that one of my close friends hosted and one of my other friends had on the cutest UGG boots I'd ever seen! As soon as I got home, I went to purchase them [I usually don't do this, but that's how cute they were!], and then realized with Christmas around the corner, why wouldn't I just throw them on my Christmas list?! If you're an UGG lover, you too will adore the UGG Bailey Over the Knee Sequin Boots!!

I fell in love with these too! The UGG Sparkle started taking over last Christmas! The variety now is amazing! These are adorable! And you'll be so different because they aren't sold in every local store!

Bey Wins Again!

We all hear of her awards for her chart topping songs, BUT hear this! Beyonce won an award for her new fragrance Pulse! Not for the way it smells! But for the packaging! Pulse won the 2011 Holography Award  from the International Hologram Manufacturer's Association (IHMA) "for the exceptional use of a hologram or holographic material for decorative and promotional purposes." If you haven't smelled it, please do!! Its awesome!! [And I'm not speaking from a stan point of view!]

This is a WINNER for this styling babe! Gwyneth has definitely stepped it up since her younger days and is now on the verge of a style icon! I mean, but duhhh- one of her closest friends is THE Rachel Zoe (who I adore)!! Can't believe she's 39! She looks AMAZING in this Stella McCartney number! [I LOVE her singing voice too!]

Hairweave Tales!

                                       


Ladies! If you don't keep your weaves in long (like me!), or if your only using it to add thickness to a certain area (bangs etc.), I reccommend "SOL" by Outre! I've used this about 3 times now and its amazing and very affordable! I never keep my hair for more than two weeks (thank God my bestfriend is a hairstylist!) so I never like to waste money on overly expensive hair, BUT still want the hair to last and look nice! I've been through a couple of different hair types, but I really like this one! Check it out!

STAN ALERT :)

Everyone close to me knows I've adored Beyonce since her early days in Destiny's Child! It was the first album, "The Writings On The Wall," the song was "Temptations" that first caught my attention of her voice! I remember back then, everyone was disliking Bey for being the voice of the group, but now everyone gets it and I LOVE IT!! She KILLS!!


[This is how bad it was, in college the store "FYI" was going out of business and Bey's 'Dangerously In Love' cd had just come out! They were giving away her life size cardboard cutout and I wanted it SOOOOO bad! I needed a truck so that I could fit it in the car, but NOBODY would take me :( ... I kinda still have resentment for this to this day!]


Howeverrrrr, being the stan that I am, this last group of videos have been BLAH to me and that hurts my heart! Okay- "Party" was cool, but "Countdown," I expected more, AND "Dance For You." I'm going to go ahead and blame it on her knowing she was going to be preggo soon! And the Roseland DVD! I was so disappointed because I've seen all those performances on previous DVD's and specials! I just was expecting the "UMPH" or "WOWWWW" factor! Didn't get it! BUT I still love her and always will! What do you think?!

All Natur-al!!

Natural hair has quickly become a new fad! What was once considered a 'stay away zone' for girls, is now being embraced! While some people took this on to promote healthy hair growth, others did so for a mere change! Something new to do with their hair without having to do drastic color changes etc.

Growing up, when someone mentioned their hair was natural, you automatically assumed they either had dreadlocks, or an Afrocentric bush! Nowadays, ladies are rocking natural hair with their hair looking like they just left the hair salon with a fresh perm!!

I, myself tried going natural this past summer, but couldn't take it! I'm giving it another whammy currently, and so far so good! Perhaps because I haven't worn it out on its own yet, but that day is coming soon!

Here are two of my friendsisters (my friends who are like my sisters! Known them since I was 7 [ and yes-they're sisters too!]) :) who have been natural for a couple years- I'm going to show you them rocking their natural curls, and then their hair straightened!

Young, Black and Gifted!

I'm such a stickler for people who step out on faith and live their dreams! Especially young people! To know and understand your purpose during your younger years is the best gift one could ever encompass!

Which brings my attention to Fashcapade! I know these gals and guy myself! We all went to Hampton University together, however Ashley, (the Founder and CEO) has always been so driven that it's crazy! I've always secretly admired this about her (shhh, don't tell!) because she had the courage to REALLY step out on faith! Upon leaving Hampton University she went to New York to follow her fashion heart! I know this was a scary decision- but it is so well worth it! I asked her what made her do this, her answer was:

"I always wanted to be able to say I created something that helped others in the fashion industry. My goal for Fashcapade is to help emerging fashion and beauty professionals reach their fullest potential."

Ok! SO what exactly is Fashcapade you ask?! I asked Ashely too! She breaks it down, "It is the combination of Fashion and Escapade- by definition it is an adventure in fashion." In layman's terms, its a PR firm to help fashion and beauty folk get their name off the ground and get them known to the world! They are currently branding themselves by hosting events such as their "Pop Up Shop" (appropriately titled, the FashcaSHOP), which gives designers a chance to showcase and sell their work to the public! The next FashcaSHOP will be in NY on December 15, 2011 from 6:00-9:00pm at Wix Lounge!

First Post!

My beloved pastime is scoping the internet for my favorite fashionistas! My personal faves are the beautiful Kim Kardashian (despite her recent tribulation!), Rihanna, The LOVELY Rachel Zoe, and I'm recently starting to love Kourtney Kardashian's style! It took me a minute to appreciate Kourt's because I didn't notice she had her own style! I at first saw all Kim K in each of them, but now I see that she has her own thing going on and I LOVE it!
