The White Blazer Is Back

The white tuxedo blazer is a great look for the new season. White should be put away after Labor Day but can come out to play again once the flowers are in bloom. This undoubtedly spring color is great for celebrities and the everyday woman. You can wear a bold white suit like Taylor Swift or Rihana or you can pair your white blazer with dark bottoms like Lauren Conrad and Miranda Kerr. The choice is yours.

The best thing about this item is that it is versatile. The white blazer looks great for day or nighttime attire. You can wear it with heels and dark skinny jeans for a dancing evening out or roll down your sleeves and pair it with a light pant or skirt fo the office. You can mix and match for the perfect ensemble. Here are some ways to create fun Spring looks with your blazer:

The Dress

You can use your blazer as a summer cardigan! That's right. The light weight fabric replaces the sweaters you need in winter. These breathable jackets look flawless over a colored dress. If you want to look more professional but are still looking to remain cool in the heat, this look is for you. It also allows you to wear a thin strapped dress to work.

Denim

You can wear your denim on top or bottom for this styled look. A chambray shirt is the perfect under shirt for the white blazer. The classic combination of blue and white is great for spring outings. Just be sure it's a cooler day for the layers. Jeans also look stunning with this jacket. The darker the better for the looks above.

Bauble Necklaces

A statement necklace is a great accessory pairing with the white blazer. Because the white is so basic and plain, you can dress up the look with a colorful collar of jewels! Long flowing pearls or colorful plastics look best with a casual jean look or a classic dress.

Color Pop Pants

Color pop pants also provide that certain flare needed to rock a white blazer. This trend has been popular all through winter and now it's time to flaunt your colors. Skinny jeans and looser lighter fabric bottoms will stun for spring. White blazers are not usually tightly fitted so a tighter pant may compliment your figure.

Shorts

A white blazer is also great when paired with shorts. This is obviously not a professional look, but it's great for a day outing in summer. Mint or printed shorts are fun for the white jacket trend. With booties or heels this ensemble will show off your legs and compliment your figure.

Mis it up in any way you want! The one piece can create endless ensembles. Buy one and try some of the looks above.

These Bandanas are Bananas

Bandanas are a trendy accessory for Spring and Summer. As the weather heats up, us gals need a way to tie our locks back in style. Bandanas are the perfect Bohemian solution to this weather conundrum. They look stylish and laid back with any casual look. You can go vintage western or a Spring inspired floral rag. Whatever you wear, we have the down-low looks for you.

This look was obviously spawned from The Rosie the Riveter look from the 1942 World War II efforts to promote women in the workplace. This adorable vintage look has spawned again for a second life. Vintage pinup inspired ladies love this look for a hot summer day in the 21st century! The tie on top makes the look soft and feminine mixed with a "We Can Do It" attitude.

Models and celebrities have been seen sporting the trend while caught on camera. Designers love this bandana look for their Spring lines and Rihana loves the look for a casual day out. Find different patterns to wear with your laid back shirt or a statement piece for a more proper ensemble.

The Western paisley print is the most popular bandada for this headband look. You can tie it up in a skinny or thick fashion to support a bun, pony tail or your layered down locks. You can tie it in traditional Rosie the Riveter fashion or flip the bow in back for a flatter, more subtle look.

Urban Outfitters is capitalizing on this trend. Right now in stores, Urban is selling these head scarves for under $20! You can shop on your lunch break or sneak online to purchase one at their accessories section of their website.

To create this look from any bandana you have around the house, the only skill you need is folding ability. First, lay out the bandana to almost look like a diamond. Then, from the corner on the bottom, fold to the desired length (I personally like skinny headbands.) and keep folding until you get to the other corner. Next, take the two ends in both hands and bring to the back of your head. Finally, with the two ends still in your hand and the bandana still at the nape of your neck, bring the ends over to the top of your head and make a knot. Or follow the tutorial below to DIY!

Get Cheeky!

Cheeky bottoms are back in action. This adorable swim suit trend is a must have for the warm weather and your upcoming beach vacation! A "cheeky" bottom is also known as a Brazilian bikini bottom. They show just enough cheek to be sexy yet subtle. This trend makes your bottom look suple and tight for beach season.

There are a wide array of trends to choose from within the cheeky bottom realm. You can have a fun pattern, strappy number or even a split bottom string tie. With a cheeky bottom, you can mix and match any style of top you desire. This look will give you the most desirable tan lines and create the illusion that your rear is smaller because the tan will cut the skin surface area in half.

Patterned bikinis are trendy for summer. The best part of a patterned cheeky bottom is you can mix and match your tops. You can wear a solid color top or find the top that pairs with your pattern. It can be two suits in one! However, you never want a cheeky bottom to be too tight. If it squeezes down on the wrong area you will look like the suit can't contain you rather than the appearance that you're voluntarily giving a sneak peek.

Two more adorable cheeky trends for summer are the bow and neon colored bottoms. Bright neons look stunning with black or white tops and they also tend to make you look tanner than you actually are! The bows can make your rear look smaller and feminine at the same time. Combine these trends for a perfect 10 bottom!

Victoria's Secret has a fabulous collection of cheeky and Brazilian bottoms. Choose from a number of styles that include strappy, patterned and split cheek trends. Their Beach Sexy collection has all you could want for this trend.

Now, you can create your very own cheeky bottom from scratch! Take an old bikini bottom and up-cycle it to achieve cheeky perfection. All you need is some elastic string and sewing skills and you're all set. Visit The Sandy Coconut for the full tutorial.

Dress Like Men, Ladies.

Girls will be boys. That's right, when it comes to fashion, this gender play is trendy and fun for most women. There are now more women enrolled in college than men and the glass ceiling is getting smaller and smaller. Women can do almost anything guys can do, including dress like them! Tuxedos, Oxford shoes and adorable vests are not just reserved for men anymore.

Of course, the pioneer icon in this trend is Diane Keaton. Her rol in the infamous movie Annie Hall took the fashion world by storm. Director Woody Allen let Diane wear pretty much anything she wanted. The character reflected her natural style. Keaton happened to enjoy dressing in a more masculine fashion and made is sexy. Tuxedos and ties looked poised and retro on Keaton and on her character. This resulted in a shift of how twenty-something girls were dressing.

Although the movie was released in 1977, the impact was almost immediate and lasted well into the 21st century. Women ran out to buy mens' dress shoes, button down shirts and male accessories. Belts, overalls and tortoise shell glasses made a killing in the recent years after Annie Hall's release and today the style is undoubtedly still going in the preppiest of circles.

Today, the style has evolved to be called the "Boyfriend" style. Jeans, shoes and shirts has been masculinized by women everywhere. The idea of wearing your boyfriends clothing is sexy and fun. It shows that you're a taken woman and that you're confident and cool enough to be seen in mens' clothing. Relaxed jeans, varsity jackets and flannel are often called "boyfriend" items. They look best on petite girls that don't need to show off their thin frame to prove their feminine shape.

Celebrities like Amber Rose, Rachel Bilson, Alexa Chung and Janelle Monae rock this boyfriend style frequently. Amber is often seen in combat boots, a loose white V-neck and slouchy pants. Alexa is a fan of the band T-shirt and can be seen in graphic shirts on the weekends. The tailored suits above are dressing like the boys but fit their feminine shapes.

Now, stylists and bloggers are stealing this trend made popular by Annie Hall and boyfriends everywhere. Fashion designers are creating casual and professional looks for women that are inspired by men. The boyfriend jean is available at almost eery major pant retailer and the Oxford shoe is a staple in any woman's closet. Check out the three ensembles by Hallowpoint on Polyvore for some inspiration.

Keep an eye out for more male looks online and in magazines. The Ivy Style is a great guy look to steal for a gal in a colder climate. Finally, look on Ebay, in thrift stores and in your male friend's closet for items to achieve this look.

Revamp Your Shoes

If it were up to any girl, we would all have unlimited money to buy designer shoes, like the ones above,  for every single occasion. But sadly, we live in a world where reality is a very real thing. Instead, we have to be thrifty by purchasing shoes that mostly go with every dress and scrape our pennies together when we really want a pair of amazing pumps. Now, there's a way in which you can get the best of both worlds! By editing your old shoes, you can turn them into works of art worthy of any dress.

The first way we can edit our shoes is to add a shoe clip! These sequin hearts make these very basic nude heels perfect for Valentine's day or a fun night out! The best part is, the clips are removable so if you want to return to the original nude pumps, this no commitment edit is perfect for you. Check out the full tutorial here.

The next look is inspired by fashion designs by Miu Miu. This simple rhinestone addition makes these heels a show stopper. All you need is craft store gems and some fabric glue to create the look. This look works on any heel in any color. You can do simple white gems or colors to your heart's desire. Follow the instructions on this blog

These disco wedges can pump up the fun with their sparkling effects. All you need here is some glitter, glue and tape to transform your pumps! The best part about this look is people rarely notice your wedges until you've sat down. The black on top still looks professional and plain for your ensemble but from the side it's all party!

Glitter 'N Glue has a fabulous celebrity inspired shoe edit that punches up your ankles. All you need is some rhinestones or old pins to fasten to your ankles to complete this look! Find complimentary colors to tie the look together or choose wild neons to make your shoes fun.

You don't only need to edit your heels! Ballet flats can be turned into chic feminine objects with the simple addition of a bow. All you need is thread and a fabric thick enough to make a darling foot bow. During your spring cleaning, save your shoes to create new masterpieces!
