I was busy watching the "Rock The Boat" video, as it was Aaliyah's last video she made [RIP] and I was taken back by her fabulous make up! Like really taken back! I wasn't into make up as much as I am now, and while I always admired her beauty, I didn't pick up on the complexity and artistic value of make up! Her Make Up Artist [MUA] has SKILLS! I continued on throughout her more recent videos and was equally astounded! I'm sure because her face is so flawless, her MUA had NO issue completing the masterpiece, but noticing the detail was remarkable!

Because Aaliyah gives off such a chill, girl next door, sexy without trying to be sexy vibe, it was easy to overlook the make up quality if you weren't paying attention! Now it just jumps out to me and I must say it's incredible!
