Paisley Perfection

Paisley is the pattern to watch, ladies. Pasiley has most traditionally been seen on bed spreads and home goods like curtains in fashionista apartments. Now, the pattern is branching out to arms, legs and torsos everywhere. According to Wikipedia, paisley is also referred to as Mango design. In Tamil, the design is known as Mankolam and has long been used in Tamil nadu, India. The traditional design is also used in gold jeweleries. The manga maalai (Mango necklace) with matching earrings is a traditional temple jewelry. It is a prominent design in Kanchipuram silk sarees and has sometimes been associated with Hinduism. The pattern is sometimes called "Persian pickles" by American traditionalists, especially quiltmakers, or "Welsh pears" in Welsh textiles as far back as 1888.

The pattern is very rich in heritage but also very modern and trendy. Paisley can easily be incorporated into Fall color schemes and fashions. A paisley patterned skirt, jacket, scarf or shorts can be just the piece you're looking for to look adorable. Lighter colors really draw attention to the patterns and shapes but more muted shades are cute too!

Paisley custom painted shoes are also the perfect way to rock the pattern! Try out Etsy for Toms in your favorite colors in your new favorite pattern: Paisley! These pieces are original and one of a kind! Guaranteed to bring you endless compliments.
