Celebrity Trick-or-Treating

Celebrities are just like us.. only everything is bigger and better in the world of a celebrity, including Halloween. The stars of the big and little screens as well as the infamous singers or publicity disasters never miss a photo opportunity on Halloween. With the most elaborate costumes, celebrities wow and astonish onlookers at extravagant parties in LA, New York and Paris. There were some memorable looks from Halloween 2012.

Solo Female Costumes

As always, Kim Kardashian amazed party goers this October at the Midori costume soirée. She went dressed as the blonde mermaid from the 1984 film Slash staring Daryl Hannah. Kim always promises to deliver on Halloween as she stunned people last year with her Wonder Woman get up. Although celebrities have ample funds to spend on costume designs, Emma Roberts wanted to pay homage to an iconic movie character that hits close to home. She was extra creative in dressing up as her aunt, Julia Roberts, in her infamous role as a stripper in Pretty Woman.

These two glamour queens have a bit of a funny bone. Katy Perry dressed as Jane from the hit MTV cartoon series Daria at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery halloween party last night. Isla Fischer wore a very unflattering sock monkey outfit. These hilarious nods to the late 80's early 90's popular culture were both crowd pleasers and quite cheeky.

Solo Male Costumes

Although some of these gentlemen have leading ladies, their Halloween ensembles were individual costumes. P Diddy went as iconic singer Prince in his Purple Haze phase. Puff Daddy later performed on stage in his costume at the party he attended. Scott Disick went as a nondescript axe-murderer to an LA event. The recently divorced Seal had a rather lackluster costume as a basketball player this holiday. His former wife, supermodel Heidi Klum, is famous for having the most elaborate costumes which could explain for his poor appearance. Check out Heidi's previously famous Halloween looks.

Couples Costumes

Mom, designer, and actress Hilary Duff coordinated costumes with her husband. Paying homage to El Dia de Los Muetros in spanish culture, the two dressed as traditional skeletons often seen in Hispanic celebrations that honor the dead. Jennifer Lopez took her new beaux to a huge party dressed as love children of the 1960's: hippies.

Paris Hilton and Matthew Morrison from Gell too their non-famous significant others to big soirees in the Hills this October. Paris Hilton and her date dressed as a fairy and a Lost Boy indian from Peter Pan. Morrison and his date were Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears from their dating period in the early 1990's. How clever!

Family Costumes

Halloween is traditionally for the kids, so why not make it a family affair! Weight watchers spokeswoman Jessica Simpson whet for a traditional farm look when she wore a milkmaid outfit with her scottish warrior husband and barnyard chicken baby! Jessica Alba had the best family costume dressing her nuclear unit as the Incredibles! Lastly, Sandra Bullock took her son, Louis, trick-or-treating in an adorable matching Toy Story ensembles. Buzz and Woody to the rescue!

Best & Worst

There were some Halloween victories and losses this week for certain. Ellen DeGenerous won for funniest and most creative costume. Ellen went dressed as Sophia Vergara, the voluptuous and very sexy Columbian actress from Modern Family. Ellen is not afraid to look silly and have fun on Halloween or in general!

Not so funny were the costumes of Chris Brown and crew. Brown and company went as a Taliban soldiers. His costume was offensive and cruel. This most definitely landed him on many worst costume lists, possibly for all time.
