The 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Recap
In case you missed it, last night was the annual Victoria Secret fashion show! Stunning models in their scantily clad designer lingerie strutted their stuff for VS on the runway. The girls looked amazing and the fashions were to die for. Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Bruno Mars all performed throughout the night at the models graced the stage. The show was split into six segments: Circus, Dangerous Liaisons, Pink Is Us, Silver Screen Angels, Angels in Bloom and Calendar Girls. The stunning show showcased some gorgeous creations and superstar models such as Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio. Here are some looks to love and the girls that wore them!
Circus
Circus opened the show. All the girls wore vintage circus inspired lingerie and walked out under acrobats and flames. Adriana Lima was the ring leader and looked amazing for just recently having a baby! The look says don't be afraid to have some fun and be daring in the bedroom! Below is one of our favorite looks worn with a headdress and bejeweled corset!
Dangerous Liaisons
With the new James Bond movie, Skyfall, just recently released in theaters, Victoria's Secret got their timing just right with this theme. All these looks are inspired by old spy movies and secret agent women. They are sultry and secretive all at once! The costume style urges women to dress up and take action in tough situations. The wings below took hours of feather detailing and work to create a heavenly ensemble.
Pink Is Us
Pink is VS's youth lingerie line. It is meant for teens and youthful girls that love to be playful and fun. Pink has a variety of sports attire including their University sweats and sports bras. The younger models walked the cat walk as Justin Bieber serenaded the crowd and the models all at once! This apt musical choice appealed the the younger generation who buy these items. The best look is the western inspired ensemble. The cowgirl look is perfectly American!
Silver Screen Angels
The Silver Screen was once known as the silver lenticular screen and is formally a type of projection screen ocular in the early years of motion picture. The phrase is now used to denote a romantic notion of the cinema industry. This is Victoria's Secret's way of paying homage to the 1920's and the start of the big film business. These romantic collections are full of glam and laced with black, silver and white. Brigje Heinen had the best look with her cut-out feathers!
Angels in Bloom
It is next to impossible to pick a favorite section of the VS fashion show; however, the Angels in Bloom show was flawless. The girls all looked like delicate beings of nature and grace. Each look was inspired by a certain flower, many of them accompanied by lilly pads. It is tough to find something this stunning in nature. The looks below show some favorites and detail the floral wings!
Calendar Girls
Get ready for the best calendar of your life! The angels did one look for every month of the year! That's right ladies, you can shop for each month of lingerie! Starting with Erin Heatherton, the angels kicked off with January and a New Years look. Although her hat fell off before walking the runway, she still looked flawless. The looks to watch are December and February. Think in the now and for that special someone on Valentine's Day. It's also hard to resist classic American looks that incorporate our flag and football. God bless fashion!
