The Golden Globes was full of talented actors, actresses, director and singers this year. It was difficult to know who would come home with the shining globe award this year as all the movies and shows were to die for. This year's hosts were a riot as both comedian ladies, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, captivated audiences and held a beautiful show.
But now, on to fashion. Both hosts adorned a bunch of dresses and had multiple costume changes throughout the night. However, the first ensembles of the night are the most memorable. Amy wore a darling black suit that showed some skin and was topped off with some diamonds to really pump up the look. Tina Fey wore a black and white gown that showed her classic beauty but also showed her fun side.
Red carpet red was hot hot hot for this season's Golden Globes. Claire Danes, Zooey Deschanel and winner Jennifer Lawrence, in Dior, looked stunning in a vibrant velvet red. Their gowns match their winter pale skin and are easy to doll up with pearl and classic accessories.
Black cutouts were also a popular trend for this awards ceremony. Kate Hudson and Katherine McPhee looked show stopping sexy for this formal occasion. A deep plunge was popular for the Globes this year and a high slit was also a popular touch on these glamorous gowns.
Winter whites sparkled last night for stunning glamorous looks. Kerry Washington stunned in a nude inspired look that shimmered as she walked. Julianne Hough and Isla Fisher looked amazing in their sequined gowns with gold inspired hues. Sheer shine was a number one hit!
Structured whites were a popular look for the evenings events. Winner Anne Hathaway looked chic and classic in a well tailored white, two piece dress. She didn't overdue the look with jewelry or accessories and was a star during her Les Miserables acceptance. Hayden Panettiere also looks chic in Roberto Cavalli in a sweetheart neckline gown.
The two looks in question are Lucy Lu in Carolina Herrera and Emily Blunt's over the top earrings. The floral dress is flawless but very out of character for Lucy's classic style. The ball gown may be slightly out of her age range and the fishtail braid may be too casual for the Globes. The purple earrings are showstoppers but detracted from Blunt's stunning gown.
