How To Dress an Athlete
Female athletes are strong, confident and maintain an athletic build. Big shoulders, muscular legs and tones arms often take away from the sensual femininity many of these competitors possess. Learning to dress by flattering your figure goes a long way for these women and can transform a sporty chick into a girly girl.
Swimmers are among the sexiest body types alive. The sport slims you down and gives you a lean strong core. Athletes like Amanda Beard and Natalie Coughlin have won gold medals in the sport and look fantastic doing it. What is the draw back of this sport? Huge shoulders! It's easy to work with this if you know how to dress them.
Don't hide your strong shoulders! Instead, choose a top with a deep plunge or V that will make your delta stand out. A full skirt with a floppy hemline will balance the look out. For dresses, your broad shoulders make blazers look amazing, but with spring around the corner, it's time to show off your figure! Peplum skirted dressed will create width to your hips to balance out your proportions. Check out what famous swimmers wore to the Golden Goggles in 2012 for reference!
Soccer players like Heather Mitts and Rachel Brown work hard on the field and have the bodies to prove it. Whether you play for a pro team or are an avid league player, you will have soccer legs. The tan right above your knee and the strongest thighs you've ever seen. How do you dress this you ask?
Your toned legs should definitely be the focus of your ensemble. Show them off with a pleated mini skirt; the structure and volume will balance out your defined curve. A pair of heels will also slim out your figure. You can also wear a dress with an eye-catching asymmetric draping that will draw attention to your upper body. Check out who made the list for 40 Hottest Soccer Players in the world!
Many sports require upper body strength, but basketball takes the cake. Weight lifting, field sports and basketball all create toned arms for women. This sensation has also been compared to the First Lady Michelle Obama's guns as MObama arms. Thick muscular arms can be sexy too if you know how to dress.
You worked hard for your arms so there is no need to hide them. Rely on shell-style tank tops with wider straps to help show off your toned muscles. Thick, metal cuffs also help balance the top heavy tone. For dresses, go sleek and sleeveless in a sheath dress to show off your toned arms. Get inspired by the sexiest women in this sport brought to you by The Bleacher Report.
Whoever said ballet wasn't a sport has never tried it. These extremely skilled dancers have some of the best physiques due to their rigorous workout routine. Regular sized women women get morphed into small and petite frames from years of rugged workouts in the studio. These women are 100% muscle.
For girls with long limbs, cropped styles and shorter hemlines will accentuate how lithe you are. You can wear slim trousers and cropped looks. Look to the mod 60's style for inspiration or choose a shift dress for a straight cut shape. Soften up your lean frame with some bounce and flow. Bohemian dresses and romantic ruffles look great on you for spring. All in all, dress what the sport gave you!

2013 Oscar Fashion
The Academy Awards went off last night as stars claimed their tiny statues or were disappointed by not hearing their name called to the big screen. Heart break and triumph were the themes of last nights' Oscars and the fashion was no different. This is the Olympics of style. Designers dream of having their creations on an Oscar winner. It will solidify their fame or launch them into stardom. Here are some of the looks to love from last night.
White and cream was a huge trend last night on the winter red carpet. Charlize Theron wore Christian Dior Haute Couture and Harry Winston Jewelry to look flawless. The South African beauty is up for Vogue's best dressed award and looks stunning as she danced on stage with Channing Tatum during the opening event. Zoe Saldana also looked breathtaking in in her white and grey bodice dress. Although she was given heat for wearing too many accessories, this dress was a hit and fitted her to perfection. Amanda Seyfried wore a custom Alexander McQueen dress to the event and although she didn't win, she most definitely wowed her fans.
These ladies were pretty in pink (and red) this weekend for the Academy Awards. Maria Menounos stunned in a Romona Keveza gown with Jimmy Choo shoes and a Swarovski clutch. Jennifer Aniston floored audiences in a gorgeous red Salvatore Ferragamo gown to present an award to the nominees and Kerry Washington wowed in a pink Miu Miu number. The girls couldn't have picked more flattering cuts.
The two most talked about women from last night by far were Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence. The two actresses won the most esteemed awards for their profession in Supporting Actress and Lead actress. Hathaway won for Les Miserables and could not have been more gracious. Her pink Prada dress and Tiffany necklace was criticized by E!'s Fashion Police but the actress made a safe gown choice and looked even better taking home the golden statue. Jennifer Lawrence took home her first Oscar looks glorious in a bold Dior gown. However, Lawrence broke the golden rule of fashion: you have to be able to move in your dress. The actress fell on her way to collect her award! Although she looked perfect standing up, the embarrassed actress may select a slimmer gown next time.
Our two best dressed women at the Oscars have to be Amy Adams and Halle Berry. Although neither took home an award, and Halle only presented the tribute to James Bond, they won for the best fashion last night. Amy Adams wore Oscar de la Renta with a darling bodice and feather skirt. Halle wore a pinstripe Versace dress that showed her stunning figure and was classy 100% of the time.
Although there is no "worst dressed" from last night, there are a few looks that can be deemed the most daring. Jessica Chastain wore a champagne Armani dress. Although the cut is flawless, the color clearly washed her out in a major way. Naomi Watts wore the same deigned with a different cut and fearless fit. Reese Witherspoon chose Louis Vuitton for the event but her bust was all wrong for this event. Want to give your input? Vote for your favorite at Vogue and in case you missed it, all the winners are listed here at the Oscars webpage.

Dual Birthstone Rings
Birthstones are a trend that will never go out of style. This timeless fashion is a fabulous gift for any lady in your life. Birthstones are personal, expensive and show that you put effort and thought into your gift. Obvious gifts are rings, necklaces and bracelets with the stone that represents your month. However, there is a new hot trend in fashion right now that incorporates birthstones into the mix: dual birthstone rings.
This ring has been super popular as of late. Celebrities and starlets have been adorning these rings and they look fabulous. Select the second color for a best friend, family member, or significant other. A mom may even do the two birthstones of her children! This adorable gift is dainty and feminine.
Jewelry designer Ariel Gordon is the pioneer behind these lovely rings. Selena Gomez has been spotted at the MTV awards show adorning these popular rings. You can wear them alone or stack them for an adorable hipster look. The gold look really enhances the colors of the stones.
For the fashionistas out there who want to steal the look at the fraction of the cost, there is always Etsy! The listing above is 1/4 the cost of the trendy Ariel Gordon look and just as cute! The silver is less expensive but still shows the dual birthstone love. Surprise a loved one with this adorable trendy gift idea!

Nicki Minaj & Adam Levine to Launch Fashion Lines, Which Will Be Better?
What
do Nicki Minaj and Adam Levine have in common? Well for starters, they
are both huge in the music industry, they are judges on two different
reality TV music competition shows, and they are now both launching
fashion lines!
The question now is, “which will be better?!”
While they both have different artistic and fashionable tastes, we are eager to see what each line has to offers sellers! Minaj is known for her unique over the top and outrageous wardrobe, while Adam keeps his clothing more polished and chic, wearing classic tee’s with the perfect fit, usually accompanied by a layer of some sort, bomber jackets, or blazers to name a few.
It
would only be right for Minaj’s line to encompass bright colors, odd
shapes and combinations, just as to coincide with her makeup
endorsements of funky shades that millions of women would love to wear!
Levine’s line will be presumably simple with the right touch or
perfection. “Less is more” would be the prediction for his. Neutral
colors and tones following an urban/rock chic look.

Flatter Your Figure
If we lived in an ideal world, every thing out fit perfectly all the time. But alas, sizes exist and not everyone is shaped like the perfect size 2. Variety is the spice of life and we girls have to learn how to dress for the body we have! No one in the world will look quite as stunning as you do in your secret-weapon pieces. Women should celebrate the body they were lucky enough to be born with. The ten body types and pairings below are suggestions on how to best dress your figure.
Apple
For Apples, it's important to define your waist and flaunt your killer gams. A tailored blazer keeps things nipped in and structured on top while a beautiful, flowing midi skirt balances out your upper half while skimming your hips and showing off your legs. Tailored blazers and flowing midi skirts are your perfect match
Curvy
For a woman with curves to spare, you've got plenty of options to show them off, but nothing will make you look as goddess-like as, well, a goddess-style dress that's cut on the bias (the way it'll flow, drape, and fall of your curves is almost criminal). For more casual occasions, a soft romper with a built-in waist tie is a beautiful option. Belted rompers and Grecian flowing dresses are your secret weapon.
Boyish
Whereas other girls might find their curves getting in the way of clothes and accessories, your straight frame makes you the perfect candidate for pieces that come with built-in va-va-voom. Peplum-style tops and dresses always look chic without running the risk of looking vulgar on those with boyish figures, and belted waists will never be obstructed by your curves. Create those curves with peplum tops and belts
Busty
To keep your volumous chest under control (while also giving them their moment in the limelight), wrap-style tops and dresses cover up tricky bra straps while displaying that devastating cleavage. To top it off, a cropped blazer will make your lower half look fuller, for just a bit of balance. Wrap styles are best for you and your girls.
Carrot
With broad shoulders and narrow legs, you've got the body shape that perfectly suits one of our favorite outfit combos: the oversized knit and skinny jean. Find a pair with some stretch to ensure the pants fit perfectly, and match it with a soft, slouchy top. You want to balance your body type with oversized tops and skinny jeans.
Hourglass
You've got boobs and a butt and an itty-bitty waist. Now, let the world know what you're working with by showing off all your assets in a longer-length pencil skirt and a scoop-neck top. Look for both in fabrics with a bit of stretch and substance, so they lay flat without bunching or pulling. Scooped-neck shirts and tight skirts show off your womanly figure.
The Pear
For ladies with a bodacious lower-half, clothes that skim your curves without suffocating them make your top look tiny and your legs look longer. Tea dresses with a full skirt and wide-legged, high-waisted pants lengthen your figure and flaunt that booty. High waited pants are also flattering on fuller bottoms!
Petite & Compact
While most women would shy away from stomach-baring crop tops and unforgiving bandage dresses, you've totally got the figure to pull it off. So, why not flaunt it? These lucky ladies can pull off tight and revealing silhouettes like a bandage dress or bandeau.
Short Legs
Ladies with shorter legs can get away with high-waist miniskirts without making their upper halves seem out of proportion (plus, the look will actually give your legs the effect of looking longer). Choose a platform shoe in a nude color to really help you tack on a few more inches. High-waisted skirts and nude shoes will give you the appearance of legs for days.
Small Chest
Girls with smaller chests can get away with all manners of high-fashion pieces like floss-thin straps, deep necks, and paper thin fabrics. A blockbuster necklace also will lay beautifully on your body — so take advantage!Statement necklaces and ruffle will add volume to your chest!
Now go out and dress what your momma gave you!
