Another year of the infamous sporty yet chic trousers!

Clearly not only fashionable when worn by jockeys, Racing-Stripe pants have made their way into the fashion world yet again. This sporty trend is back for it's third year in the light of high fashion, making the offspring of the '90s track pants and tuxedo pants a real favorite. 


If you're ready to earn your racing stripes, you must know that they can be found in several different styles. In previous years the striped trousers have had a more casual, billowy look to them- having elastic waists and/or drawstrings. This season, the side-striped trousers have been seen in a slim fitted fashion, along with a simple blouse and hot shoes to complete the look.


Whether you are looking to make a statement, or pairing them with a classic knit top, these two-tones pants are the perfect choice.


Quite a few celebs have been spotted wearing this cool, chic fashion. Blake Lively, Miranda Kerr and Rihanna all worked the side panels with class. (Rihanna even wore them with a matching blazer!)

Putting feathers into your daily wardrobe rotation makes for fun, flirty outfits. Real feathers and feather prints are currently very popular on the fashion scene. Whether they are screened on your shirt or waving in the wind in your ears, the plumes are sure to impress. They can be a wild accessory to a toned-down outfit or a statement on a shirt paired with jeans. 

The greatest asset feathers can bring is their wide range of color. You can wear them in earthy, natural tones or be as bold as a peacock. The vibrant feathers are perfect for a night out and can be added as accents on shoes, belts, and headbands. 

Stores like Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters have been pushing multicolored feather prints on dresses, shirts and even bed spreads to keep this trend alive and well. Try shopping at Delia’s for a fun cocktail dress; full bodied with black feathers, or at Romwe for a bold peacock look.

The very first line on Christian Louboutin’s Wikipedia is:

“Christian Louboutin (b. 7 January 1963) is a French footwear designer whose footwear has incorporated shiny, red-lacquered soles that have become his signature.” 

This may be true, but I find it a clear oversight that his collection of hand bags are not also mentioned. His timeless works ranging from side satchels, clutches and luggage have been captivating fashion lovers for decades.

C.L began his fashion career sketching in his early teens. He also had fairly little formal training at the Académie d'Art Roederer that included drawing and the decorative arts. In the early 80’s he started shopping around designs that would later launch him into working with top designers such as Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Maud Frizon. Going Tribal [pt.2]

As discussed in our very first 'Weekly Trend,' going tribal is the way to go this summer!

The tribal look is composed of strong, graphic prints combined with warm, earthy tones. The trend has its roots based in a mix of cultures ranging from South American countries, Hispanic influence, Indian heritage, and is also widely African inspired.

Also known as the Safari Look, this trend is easily accomplished with harsh lines, zigzags and busy patterns. This trend has taken also taken a twist as these funky patterns are soaked in a rich vibrant colors and made perfect for summer. This look is best accompanied by natural accents and accessories such as simple bracelets and feathered jewelry.

Take a “Bow”

You can never be too girly! Bows are all the rage to class-up your outfits. Whether they’re on a belt, in your hair, or detail on a dress or shoes, bows are beautiful. You can use them as a simple accent or a bold hair statement like Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

U-S-A! U-S-A! I'm not sure if this trend is picking up simply because it’s the summertime or if the Olympic games are to blame for our country feeling so patriotic, but American flag chic is in full force all across the US!
