Boot Watch 2012: Yee-Haw Cowboy!

Boot watch for Fall continues as we saddle up with a cute pair of cowboy boots! That's right ladies, these boots aren't just for the rodeo. Although this is a very classic, southern style, fashionistas all over the globe are wearing these boots to fit their style. Cowboy boots don't have to be traditional brown. Designers have been giving these shoes fancy flare to dress them up for almost anyone.

These boots go perfectly with a number of girly outfits. These boots can go over skinny jeans or under a boot cut style for more casual looks. If weather is permitting, you can wear your cowboy boots with a skirt or dress for day time fun! They are perfect for tailgates or happy hour because they are insanely comfortable. You can be on your feet all day and not feel a thing. The styles above are from Steve Madden.

These boots also look darling with a colored pant and long sleeve button down. This typically country look is finding its way to urban streets and cities all around the US. A nicer, more detailed boot can dress up outfits like the one above. White pants and flannel is perfect example of a great country inspired outfit. Women today are even wearing cowboy boots to formal events and weddings! Cowboy boot pictures with bridesmaids give a very fun feel to your special day.

A good pair of brown cowboy boots are a necessary staple to have in your closet. The tall styles are more formal and make your legs look leaner and longer. You can choose dark brown or lighter tan depending on your personal preference. Darker boots are good for the colder months whereas the light ones are great for summer months. You can buy them sleek and new or find a distressed pair at various shoe stores near you.

Other new styles of cowboy boots are coming on the fashion scene with a bang. Red is the next most popular color of boot for this country look. Red looks amazing with almost any wardrobe color selection. Styles can be in one solid color or infused with embroidery and detailing on the boot. A red boot makes more of a statement than the brown leathers but are just subtle enough to wear repeatedly.

Vintage and funky styles are a fun way to participate in the western trend! You can go to almost any turnover store or thrift boutique to find a great pair of pre-owned. The best part is that they are already worn in and won't create nasty blisters or hard leather bruises! Short styles are also darling for dresses, skirts and tights this season. Keep an eye out for these vintage styles above.

Turquoise is a very popular accent to have on a cowboy boot. Some styles come in all light blue for the more adventurous dressers. The blue draws attention to your gorgeous boots and gives you a much needed pop of color! If your outfit is plain, this is the best way to spice it up! Other styles highlight only  the toe or the shaft of the boot in blue. These subtle accents are adorable and give the boot more versatility for complimentary clothing. Go wild with your wild west style!
