Spring Dresses for Your Shape

Springtime is coming and every girl needs to be ready to showcase her legs in a flowing spring dress! It's finally time to put those jeans away and rock the minidress to tea on weekends. The warm weather is perfect for dresses but what is the perfect dress for you? The image above gives tips on which LBD is right for your shape but we have a shape breakdown of what will work best this spring.

The Apple

For those of us who carry most our weight at the very center of the body, a dress with a loose-fit top that wont cling is a great go-to. Find an option with a fun and eye-catching skirt to keep things flirty. Adding embellishment to the top will create a chest and give balance to your shape.

Curvy

This woman has great curves, but her proportions may not be as defined as an hourglass figure. We suggest a wrap dress — a shape that tends to flatter most silhouettes — to hug your curves and nip in your waist while adjusting to your shape, so it always looks like it fits like a glove.

Boyish

Yours is the perfect body for test driving one retro trend that we're currently obsessing: drop-waists. Tap into your inner flapper with a dress that will hang on your frame just perfectly. The Mod style at Banana Republic is the perfect trend for you to rock.

Busty

The key to a flattering fit for any chesty girl starts with a supportive bra. Once you have the right basics, select a dress with thick straps that will accommodate all the appropriate underwear. Trust, you'll be thankful when you don't have to adjust your clothing all day long.

The Carrot

As the name might indicate, your legs are your narrowest part. Show off those dainty ankles (as well as everything else) in a not-too-snug midi dress that hits right around the lower half of your calves. A flowing skirt is perfect to balance your wider middle.

The Hourglass

If you're built like a modern-day pin-up, choose a dress that keeps you feeling just as glamourous. An elongating V-neck, a flared skirt, and a belt to show off your tiny waist will all work together for a look even Sophia Loren would envy.

Pear Shaped

Much like the hourglass figure, if you've got some junk in your trunk, try something that skims your bottom without clinging. This spring's tea dresses provide a full skirt that will flow over your lower half, while cinching in your waist so you don't lose your awesome figure.

Petite

Long hems and lots of fringe can leave you swimming in fabric. While mini, bodycon dresses may be a challenge for some women, you've totally got the bod to go for it. The tighter the better for the petite women in the world.

Small Chested

Don't think we forgot about the women not endowed with large breasts! Pleating and ruffles help to create some volume, especially when layered around the bust area. Pile them on as you see fit in your choice of super-feminine spring dresses.

There you have it ladies, now go out and shop for your perfect Spring dress!
