The Checkered Dress

Victoria Secret supermodel Miranda Kerr has made the checkered dress a fashion must have. Her boxed out mini is retro and stunning. The short length, low V, and mid length sleeves are a surprising combination that leave women wanting to mirror her look. A pair of nude heels bring the look together by elongating her figure and giving her shape under the shift shape. This 50's inspired look has been popular on women for decades and now it's back in full force.

Why the sudden revival? Louis Vuitton debuted this look for their Spring 2013 looks to love. Complete with checkered coats, pant suits and dresses, checkers are back! The color isn't the main focus of any of these ensembles but the brighter the better for the upcoming months. Big checks or small squares are popular on all the looks above.

The black and white look is hot for this trend. Vintage magazines show this frock as fashionable for any woman of class. The look was then reinforced as popular by the hit television show Mad Men. Peggy rocked the look in her secretary chic days at the fictitious advertising firm. The period show has heightened women's love of vintage looks twisted in a modern way. Designers like Dior and actresses like Jessica Alba steal the look for runway shows and red carpets.

One thing is for sure, this look is high fashion and high class. The women above rock the look with statement heels and chic accessories. Your dress is obviously the focal point of the ensemble, so be sure not to overdo the bag, jewelry or accessories. Look as stunning as these celebrities and find a checkered dress today.
