Sun Hat Show Down

Sun hats are out and about for this season! Who's to thank? Victoria's Secret of course! Thier fashion show debuted sun hats for summer in their Calendar Girl series for the month of August. Fashion forward ladies are breaking out the trend early for spring. You don't just have to reserve these hats for the beach.

You can rock a sun hat with jeans, a dress or even a casual day outing in shorts. Whatever your style, you can find a floppy hat to fit your look. There is a variety of hats to suit your personal ensembles. A casual plain straw hat looks darling with most outfits. Choose from some of the look below to find your favorite.

This look is inspired by women of our past. This vintage floppy hat has been worn by Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. It is regal and classic. This hat makes your frame look tiny and protects your skin from the harsh sunlight. This look is also frequently adorned during the Kentucky Derby and by British royalty.

Celebrities love their floppy hats! Vanessa Hudgens is a major proponent of this look! She has been seen rocking the hat with dresses, jeans and at music festivals around the U.S. Blake Lively and the Kardashian sisters also love this look for causal days out. There is no better way to keep your skin shielded from the sun.

The straw hats are the most popular way to wear the trend. You can wear this look at the beach or on a casual day out in the sun. Protecting your skin is the biggest beauty tip from any woman's health magazine. By shielding your face, you can preserve your skin and make it wrinkle free for longer.

The stripped sun hat is also a chic way to show your fun side. A plain black and white look is super vintage where a colorful ringed hat is best with plain swim suits on the beach in summer. The classic rings are fun in the sun but be sure to wash the hat after use to make sure the colors don't fade.

Monograms are also darling for this trend. You can buy the hat first and then monogram it or attach a monogrammed bow to the crown of your hat. You can also order one of these online at Etsy.com with the monogram sewn on. You'll be racking up the compliments for sure.

With clothing or a suit, this trend is something every girl needs to invest in.
